Over the last few months, Texas leaders attempted to reform the state’s congressional redistricting process. TexPIRG worked at the Capitol to support any bipartisan commission to handle redistricting, rather than leaving such power in the hands of the state Legislature.
Texas Suffering From Toxic Chemicals
According to a new report released by TexPIRG in March, Texas was one of three states that accounted for 40 percent of developmental toxic pollution and 70 percent of reproductive toxic pollution for the year 2004.
